Śrī Kṛṣṇa Janmāṣṭamī Meditation

शत्रुच्छेदैक-मन्त्रं सकलमुपनिषद्-वाक्य-सम्पूज्य-मन्त्रं
संसारोच्छेद-मन्त्रं समुचित-तमसः सङ्घ्निर्याण-मन्त्रम् ।
सर्वैश्वर्यैक-मन्त्रं व्यसन-भुजग-सन्दष्ट-सन्त्राण-मन्त्रं
जिह्वे! श्री-कृष्ण-मन्त्रं जप जप सततं जन्म-साफल्य-मन्त्रम् ।।
(मुकुन्द-माला-स्तोत्रम्, ३१)

भावार्थः – हे जिह्वे! श्री-कृष्ण-मन्त्रं सततं जप जप । एतत् मन्त्रम् –
• शत्रुच्छेदैक-मन्त्रं – शत्रून् नाशयति ।
• सकलमुपनिषद्-वाक्य-सम्पूज्य-मन्त्रं – सर्व-उपनिषदाम् वाक्यैः सम्यक् पूजितम् ।
• संसारोच्छेद-मन्त्रं – भव-संसार-बन्धनं छिनत्ति।
• समुचित-तमसः सङ्घ्निर्याण-मन्त्रम् – अविद्यायाः सञ्चित-तमसः सङ्घात् मोचयति ।
• सर्वैश्वर्यैक-मन्त्रं – सर्व-ऐश्वर्याणि यच्छति ।
• व्यसन-भुजग-सन्दष्ट-सन्त्राण-मन्त्रं - व्यसन-भुजगैः सन्दष्टान् जनान् सम्यक्तया त्रायते ।

śatru-cchedaika-mantraḿ sakalam upaniṣad-vākya-sampūjya-mantraḿ
saḿsāroccheda-mantraḿ samucita-tamasaḥ sańgha-niryāṇa-mantram
sarvaiśvaryaika-mantraḿ vyasana-bhujaga-sandaṣṭa-santrāṇa-mantraḿ
jihve śrī-kṛṣṇa-mantraḿ japa japa satataḿ janma-sāphalya-mantram
(Mukunda-mala-stotra Verse 31)

Translation: O tongue, please constantly chant the mantra composed of Śrī Kṛṣṇa's names. This is the only mantra for destroying all enemies, the mantra worshiped by every word of the Upaniṣads, the mantra that uproots saḿsāra, the mantra that drives away all the darkness of ignorance, the mantra for attaining infinite opulence, the mantra for curing those bitten by the poisonous snake of worldly distress, and the mantra for making one's birth in this world successful.
