Vidyārambha Saṁskāra - The Beginning of a Child's Education

Yesterday we celebrated the admission of a group of new boys to the Bhaktivedanta Academy. As a part of the program, the younger new students received the Vidyarambha Samskara - the beginning of the child's education, where he learns how to write for the first time. And as there is nothing more auspicious than the Holy Names of The Lord, the first thing the child writes is Hare Kṛṣṇa, so that his education can be based around Lord Kṛṣṇa.
