Gita Jayanthi Recital

Find the attached video of kids' recitation of BG Chapter 15 at the ISKCON Houston temple during the Gita Jayanthi celebration yesterday.   I felt happy that their learning of Sanskrit and memorization of Shlokas helped them to feel part of the festival yesterday. This particular chapter was taught to them by Gopika mtj, seen in the video. Apart from the devotional aspect this recitation revealed the strong "stand up from oneself" personality of Nrsimha-Krsna. Background: When kids were asked to seat themselves, Nrsimha was happy to run and take a seat at the middle position giving him access to the mike. By Krsna's arrangement another kid (a year older to him) also sat at the same place to share the same mike. Though Nrsimha was happy to share the mike with him, we can see, he doesn’t tolerate when the boy snatches the mike to have exclusive access. He was gentle but persistent in his efforts to claim his access. All the audience were focused on seeing this "fight". Finally the teacher came behind both of them and brought the situation into control by keeping the mike in the middle. In the midst of this fight, one can notice that flow of verses won’t stop. We felt, adults also have similar feelings just we don’t express them in public thinking of our own image, while the kids expressed themselves fully.
