Prabhupada told the story of Gandhi and his wife. Gandhi, one time, he had a terrible fight with his wife. He was so angry at her once that he threw her out of the house. It is a famous story in India. Gandhi threw his wife out of the house. “Out with you, go on the streets. Don’t come back.” Ten minutes later, there was a knock on the door. It was his wife. “What, you are back so soon? How is it that you are back so soon? Her words became immortalized. She said, “What can I do, Prabhu? I have no other shelter, but you.” “All right come on in” (laughing). So, as bad as she was, quote, unquote, “She endeared herself to him because she had no other shelter. So, as fallen as we are, we still can beg for Krsna prema because Krsna is our only shelter. We have to come to him every day and we have to chant Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.
