In 2015, while this site was getting updates with more and more analogies and stories from Srila Prabhupada’s purports, it just occurred to me that these stories are so potent, one can even discuss them with children and bring out deep philosophical points. To experiment with this idea, we started “Govinda story time” in Seattle with devotee children. We picked three stories per week and let kids read/summarize and triggered deep discussions with kids on Krsna conscious concepts. Many times I felt these children have so much knowledge one should just know the knack of getting it out of them. As we called it “Story time”, it broke the barrier kids may have for such discussions and helped them become more Krishna conscious with least resistance. As a result, they have become very interested to these sessions and actively participate.
As we saw the success, we decided to record these sessions and share our videos with devotees worldwide. As I shared some of our videos with persons in charge of IskconDesireTree, they were very eager to host our content on their channel thus potentially reaching out to largest youtube devotee audience possible.
